Berea Lake Towers Retirement Community includes a licensed nursing staff onsite daily. Nurses will coordinate all health-related services, and may provide limited skilled nursing services to meet the resident’s care needs.

Our supportive staff of resident attendants is available 24 hours daily to provide assistance with personal care and emergency response. Additional support staff members are available to provide housekeeping, laundry, maintenance and nutritional services.

The social coordinator is onsite to lead residents in a variety of social and recreational programs.

Upon moving into Berea Lake Towers, each resident is assessed by our team. Together, we determine what services are required to meet the individual's personal needs. Based on the assessment process our staff will develop a resident service plan, coordinating all health-related and supportive services for each resident. The service plan may also include community-based services provided by a home health agency. This may include physical, occupational, and speech therapy as well as skilled nursing care. Our most popular weekly events include a wide variety of social gatherings including Bingo and card games, as well as fitness and conditioning programs, cooking demonstrations, educational talks, and shopping adventures. We also coordinate various religious services, from Bible study to devotional services that represent several different religions. Sunday Transportation is also provided to several places of worship within the community of Berea.

Musical and drama entertainment is always a popular event, well attended by many. Planned outings include the Carousel Dinner Theater, Baldwin Wallace Summer Theater, Playhouse Square and Jacobs Field just to name a few. [Back to Top]

At Berea Lake Towers we offer three levels of service. In Level One a resident may administer their own medication, which they keep in their apartment. Berea Lake Towers Retirement Community offers short-term/ respite care to suit many purposes from recovery from an illness to experiencing assisted living on a trial basis to see if it is right for you.

Assisted living usually is paid for privately - either by the individuals themselves or in combination with their families, or in some cases by long term care insurance policies.

While a resident of an assisted living center, an individual can receive Medicare coverage for some skilled services provided by home health agencies (i.e. physical, occupational, speech therapy or skilled nursing) or hospice services. The VA may also provide financial support for qualified veterans or spouses.

Berea Lake Towers also participates in the Assisted Living Waiver program administered by the Ohio Department of Aging. In Ohio, assisted living communities with 17 or more individuals are regulated by the Ohio Department of Health under the classification of Residential Care Facility (RCF). Berea Lake Towers is licensed by the Ohio Department of Health and inspected by the Department on a regular basis to ensure continued compliance with the required standards.
